The rules for using Knox

These terms apply to all users of the service, including free users and paid subscribers.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Knox Knows. If you are between 13 and 18, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.

Knox Knows is an AI-powered study service: Ask Knox for clear, tutor-quality answers, Learn mode for step-by-step lessons, AI-made flashcards, and a built-in calculator, across academic subjects. The service is available in three tiers:

• Free — $0. Ask Knox 10 questions to start, then 5 more each day (unused questions save up to 20), across every subject. Full-quality AI answers. Learn mode and the calculator are included; a Knox-made flashcard deck (up to 10 cards) uses 2 questions.
• Knox Plus — $9.99/month (or $79.99/year). Unlimited questions (a fair-use cap applies to prevent abuse), unlimited photo and file uploads, Knox-made flashcard decks of up to 15 cards, faster support and access to the Knox Plus lounge on our Discord.
• Mega Knox — $12.99/month (or $99.99/year). Everything in Knox Plus, plus customizable flashcard decks of up to 40 cards, the highest usage limits, early access to new features, the fastest support and access to the private Mega Knox lounge on our Discord, where you can talk with the founder.

Every tier uses the same underlying AI. Paid plans exist to remove usage limits, not to unlock better answers.

You agree to use Knox Knows only for lawful educational purposes. You agree not to:

• Use Knox to commit academic dishonesty in violation of your school's policies
• Attempt to extract, reverse engineer, or copy Knox's AI system prompts
• Create multiple accounts to bypass daily question limits
• Use automated scripts or bots to make requests to Knox
• Submit content that is illegal, harmful, or violates others' rights
• Resell or redistribute Knox's answers commercially

Knox is powered by AI and can make mistakes. Always verify important information independently, especially for high-stakes academic work, tests, or examinations.

Knox Knows is a learning tool to help you understand concepts — it is not a substitute for your own judgment, your teachers, or qualified human tutors. We do not guarantee specific academic results.

Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis — monthly or yearly depending on your selection. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method until you cancel.

Free Trial: Mega Knox monthly includes a 3-day free trial (Knox Plus and yearly plans don't have one). You will not be charged until the trial ends. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid any charge.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals — you retain access through the end of your current billing period.

Gift codes: Knox Plus and Mega Knox gift codes are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. A code can be redeemed once, never expires, and gives the redeeming account that plan for the stated length of time, after which it returns to the free plan without any charge. Codes have no cash value. Plan time earned in events such as Flame Fest (for example, a week of Mega Knox) works the same way.

The Knox Knows name, logo, website design, and all original content are owned by Knox Knows and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding or copy our content without written permission.

The questions you submit remain yours. By submitting questions, you grant us a limited license to process them through our AI service to generate your answers. We do not claim ownership of your academic content.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, attempt to abuse or defraud the service, or engage in behavior harmful to other users or to Knox Knows.

If your account is terminated for cause, you will not be entitled to a refund of any subscription fees paid.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knox Knows and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, academic outcomes, or any other damages arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.

Knox Knows is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely accurate.

We do not guarantee specific academic results from using Knox Knows. The service is an educational aid, not a guarantee of grades or outcomes.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Knox Knows shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
